There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available to members in good standing of Encompass. Whether your strengths and interests lie in conference planning, marketing, or technical participation, we have the right opportunity for you!

Special Interest Groups

Interested in helping to lead Encompass’ newest SIGs? The Integrity SIG and SIG MIGRATE are both looking for Users to serve as Chair and Co-Chair. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing input and guidance on the direction of the SIG and potential SIG activities and discussions
  • Participating on monthly SIG leader conference calls
  • Providing suggestions and input for technical webcast topics and speakers

Austin BATLUG in need of NEW CHAIR

The Austin BATLUG is in need of a new Chair. LUG Chair roles include:

  • Primary liaison to Encompass Headquarters
  • Presides over meetings and makes sure the agenda is followed
  • Responsible for general meeting review topics

Encompass Headquarters helps support all LUG groups through monthly LUG chair calls and promoting LUG events. If you are located in the Austin area and are interested in learning more about this position, please contact Karen Zader at Encompass Headquarters.


Local User Group Counterpart Positions Available

The counterpart of a Local User Group helps ensure that all logistical activities (ie. speakers and meeting locations) are in order, as well as provide backup for the LUG Chair incase they are unable to attend an event. If you are interested in becoming a LUG counterpart please contact Karen Zader at Encompass Headquarters.

HP Technology Forum Pre-Conference/Onsite Volunteer Opportunities
