About the John Wisniewski Memorial Scholarship

In 2004, the HP Community suffered a great loss when longtime HP engineer and OpenVMS expert and advocate, John Wisniewski, passed away. John's fervent passion about technology, the IT community, the HP customer and Encompass are greatly missed. To honor his life and work, Encompass developed the John Wisniewski Memorial Scholarship. Who is Eligible?

This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students pursuing a program of study leading to an IT career. Applicants can be nominated for the award by either a letter of recommendation from a teacher or department chair or by submission of an essay on an IT Topic of his or her choice. The DEADLINE for submissions is June 24, 2006.

Scholarship Award

The winner of this scholarship can choose between a $1,000 cash award or complimentary attendance to the HP Technology Forum 2006 (housing included).
